It's been quite awhile since I have written a post, so I thought I would take a moment to summarize what I've been up to related to health coaching and what my educational plans are for 2023. Late October of last year I sat for the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) board exam and was notified in December that I passed! I was busy coaching most of the summer as 50 sessions are required to be completed before one can sit for the exam. Most of us don't consider taking tests "fun," but studying for the exam was a wonderful way to solidify all the knowledge I had received in my Functional Medicine Coaching Academy year-long course and demonstrate to myself and clients that I have mastered the skills required to be a health coach.
Turning toward 2023, I have already enrolled in my first continuing education course, the Apollo Health ReCODE 2.0 for Coaches based on the Bredesen Protocal developed by Dr. Dale Bredesen to prevent and reverse cognitive decline. I am excited to be learning more specific coaching skills related to brain health.
Beyond that I will continue reading/listening to/watching content related to healthy and living and share what I glean here on my blog.
